The Dallas Jewish Community Foundation hosted its 12th Annual Professional Advisors Seminar, "Shams and Scams: Charitable Strategies to Avoid" at the Hotel Intercontinental in Dallas, TX.
Each year, the Foundation hosts a charitable tax-planning seminar with the purpose of educating Professional Advisors on new and emerging techniques in the areas of estate planning and charitable giving. It has become one of the premier events of its type in the Dallas area. This year’s presenter,Jane Peebles, is a partner at Karlin and Peebles.
Ms. Peebles is certified by the California State Bar Association as a specialist in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law. She is also a nationally recognized lecturer and author on a variety of domestic and international estate and charitable planning matters. Ranked one of the “Top 50 Female Super Lawyers” in Southern California in 2003, 2004 and 2005 by a vote of her peers, as reported in Los Angeles Magazine, Jane Peebles has dedicated her practice to estate planning, international tax planning and charitable planning.
Over 300 Professional Advisors in the areas of financial and estate planning, life insurance and tax and probate law, and development professionals attended the Seminar, enjoying a full breakfast and receiving two hours of continuing education credits.
Next year’s seminar will be held September 25th, 2008. Reynolds T. Cafferata will be the featured speaker.
