Investment Committee
The Investment Committee is responsible for the day-to-day management of the assests of the Foundation, subject to the policies adopted by the Board of Trustees. The Executive Committee is advised and relies on the advice of the Investment Committee regarding investment and reinvestment of all Foundation funds and the selection of professional investment counsel.
Professional Advisory Committee
The Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) provides consultation to the Foundation on a variety of legal and tax considerations inherent in endowment funding, charitable giving and estate planning, disseminates information and good will regarding the Foundation among our community’s legal and accounting professionals and helps promote the benefits of the Foundation to donors and clients. Each year the committee hosts the Professional Advisors Seminar, which features educational topics on charitable tax planning, for Dallas-area estate planners and financial advisors.
Real Estate Committee
Members of the Real Estate Committee volunteer their professional expertise in the real estate industry to aid in the growth of the Foundation's real estate portfolio. Gifts of appreciated real estate are one of the most tax-wise donations, and the property holdings of the Foundation are one of the mainstays for the Dallas Jewish Community Endowment Fund.
Scholarship Committee
The Foundation manages a number of higher education scholarship funds. To date, the Foundation has distributed more than $1 million to worthy students. The Scholarship Committee is integral to the application screening and selection process. The committee interviews potential scholarship recipients and acts as advocates for the students recommended to receive the funds. The committee awards the scholarships at an annual reception for the recipients and fund trustees.
