The Janis Levine Music Women and Children’s Endowment Fund, a designated fund of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation, awards grants annually to social, cultural, educational, religious (spiritual) and health programs, primarily in the Dallas area, that benefit directly or are of great importance to women and children.
The fund was established in 1995 by Josephine (Joey) Daniel, Sara Music-Dorfman and Josh Music in memory of their mother, Janis Diane Levine Music, who died at the age of 47 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Janis Levine Music was a role model and active philanthropist during her lifetime; her generosity of spirit lives on to benefit many community organizations today.
