You have learned the values of Tzedakah and responsibility to the Jewish community and the larger community around you. Now you can extend your commitment and inspire others. You can make a connection to the future. Your annual gift alone cannot secure the future for the charities you choose. Your endowment can.
An endowment is a permanent restricted fund dedicated to providing permanent and ongoing support to the charities you choose. Each year you can give away the net income of the fund to support your favorite charities. Because the corpus of the fund remains intact, an endowment fund is a lasting legacy for the future. Endowments can be created through a variety of vehicles, and, for a Young Philanthropist, these will take the form, primarily, of gifts of cash (checks) and /or securities.
Grants made from a Young Philanthropist Endowment Fund may be eligible for certain matching grants.
