Conflict of Interest FY 2023-2024

Members of the Board of Trustees, members of standing and/or ad hoc committees, and employees of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation are committed to the Foundation’s goal to establish the highest level of public confidence in its accountability. Each Trustee, committee member, and employee (hereinafter referred to as the “individual”) shall annually reaffirm his or her personal commitment to follow the conflict of interest standards set out below:

• Each individual will conduct his or her activities with the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation so that he or she does not advance or protect his or her own interests or those of his or her spouse in a way that is detrimental to the interests or fundamental mission of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation.

• In every instance in which the individual represents the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation, the individual will conduct his or her activities in a manner to best promote the interests of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation.

• In all matters that come before the Board of Trustees or the standing and/or ad hoc committees for a vote that may favorably impact the individual’s own personal or financial interests or those of his or her spouse, the individual will reveal the relationship and abstain from a vote in the matter.

• When a conflict or potential conflict of interest arises, the individual will disclose that conflict or potential conflict to the Trustees of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation, to the Chairperson of its Board of Trustees, or to the committee Chair and seek a resolution of that issue.

As a member of the Board of Trustees, a standing and/or ad hoc committee, or as an employee of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation, I am committed to the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation’s goal to establish the highest level of public confidence in its accountability. I have personally committed to follow the standards set out below:

• I will conduct my activities with the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation so that I do not advance or protect my own interests or those of my spouse in a way that is detrimental to the interests or fundamental mission of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation.

• In every instance in which I represent the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation, I will conduct my activities in a manner to best promote the interests of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation.

• In all matters that come before the Board of Trustees or a standing and/or ad hoc committee for a vote that may favorably impact my own personal or financial interests or those of my spouse, I will reveal the relationship and abstain from a vote in the matter.
