Giving Block
Donating cryptocurrency, such as Bitcoin, may result in a tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the donated cryptocurrency (as determined by a qualified appraisal). Your gift to charity may also be larger because instead of paying income or capital gains taxes, the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation will receive the full value of your contribution. Donors should consult with a professional tax advisor prior to gifting cryptocurrency. We partner with Giving Block to process this donation. Giving Block’s processing and administrative cost is currently 4.65% of the U.S. Dollar-denominated proceeds. The net proceeds can be credited to your Donor Advised Fund or directed to any 501(c)3 charity.
