“Putting Research to Work on Your Planned Giving Program”
Join fellow nonprofit professionals to learn about the latest research on what drives a successful planned giving program, as well as how to use this information to talk about the importance of planned giving with your leadership and your board, as well as with your donors.
About the speaker
Russell James J.D., Ph.D., CFP® is a professor in the Department of Personal Financial Planning at Texas Tech University. He holds the CH Foundation Chair in Personal Financial Planning and directs the on-campus and online graduate program in Charitable Financial Planning. Prior to his career in academic research, he served as planned giving fundraiser, an estate planning attorney in private practice, and a college president.

Please note that due to space constraints, we are currently limiting registration to two people for each of our partner nonprofit organizations. (Partner nonprofit organizations are those that have a fund at DJCF/SWCF.) If you are interested in the program but are not affiliated with a DJCF/SWCF nonprofit partner, you may fill out the registration form but will be added to a waitlist and contacted closer to the event if space is available..
