The Meyer L. Bodoff Memorial Award of the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation is presented annually at the Professional Advisors Seminar. We’re honored to announce that this year’s recipient is Larry Schoenbrun.
Larry Schoenbrun recently retired from Foley & Lardner LLP, where he worked on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions. His nearly six decades at the firm included work representing business owners and executives, working with private equity companies and venture capital investors, and serving as an advisor on an array of corporate matters. A graduate of Tyler High School, he went on to earn both his B.A. and his J.D. from The University of Texas at Austin.
Larry has been a longtime supporter of the Foundation and is a Life Trustee. He has also served as Chair of the DJCF/SWCF Board and on many Foundation committees. He has been involved with many nonprofit organizations, including the Anti-Defamation League, CHAI: Community Homes for Adults, Inc., the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum, the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas, and the Texas Hillel Endowment Foundation at UT Austin. Additionally, Larry has been a passionate advocate in the nonprofit community on the importance of setting up endowment funds.
Larry and his wife Celia have three children – Benjamin, Michael, and Kathryn – and five grandchildren.
