DJCF Professionals Bring Deep Expertise to Strengthen Community Giving

An article in the Texas Jewish Post

At the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation (DJCF), philanthropy is more than charitable gifts – it’s about guiding individuals, families, and organizations to make meaningful charitable impact that reflects their values and meaningful, lasting impact. Central to that mission is our highly skilled team of professionals whose expertise reflects DJCF’s ongoing commitment to elevate its service to donors and the broader community through a team distinguished by an impressive array of professional credentials.

DJCF continues to invest in its professional excellence, ensuring that fundholders and the broader community have access to our team to help navigate the increasingly complex landscape of charitable giving. Through advanced certifications, specialized training, and decades of collective experience, the Foundation’s team provides thoughtful, strategic guidance to help individuals and families make a lasting impact on our community through philanthropy.

Among DJCF’s senior professionals are Chartered Advisors in Philanthropy (CAPĀ®): Sarah Golman, COO; Darrin Goldin, Senior Philanthropy Officer; Megan Hyman, President & CEO; and Suzanne Massey, Advisor Relations Director. The CAPĀ® designation is a nationally recognized credential that equips professionals to integrate charitable planning with a donor’s financial, estate, and legacy goals. By bringing together expertise from multiple disciplines, CAPĀ® advisors help donors develop comprehensive giving strategies that are both meaningful and effective.

In addition, Mona Allen, Senior Relationships Officer, has earned certification as an Impact Philanthropy Advisor through Daylight Advisors, strengthening DJCF’s ability to serve donors who are focused on achieving measurable social and community outcomes. This specialized training enables the Foundation to help donors think strategically about how their charitable investments can create lasting change and address pressing community needs.

DJCF’s commitment to excellence extends across the organization. Team members who have completed Daylight’s Philanthropic Planning Certificate include Regan Klinke, Finance and Operations Manager; Suzanne Massey; Ashley Soto, Fundholder Engagement Associate; Lexi Van Creveld, Executive Assistant; Lisa Wile, Impact Associate; and Mary Vaughan, Fundholder Services Director. This additional training ensures that donors encounter a knowledgeable and responsive team at every touchpoint, whether they are establishing a fund, exploring charitable planning options, or managing their ongoing giving.

The Foundation’s expertise is further strengthened by professionals with legal and financial credentials. Darrin Goldin, JD, brings legal training and insight to charitable and estate planning discussions, while Jerry Blair, CFO, and Servando Sanchez, Finance Director, are both Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). Their combined expertise helps donors and professional advisors navigate complex tax considerations, charitable vehicles, regulatory requirements, and financial structures with confidence and clarity.

This multidisciplinary approach is one of DJCF’s greatest strengths. Donors often face important questions about how to align their charitable goals with family values, financial planning, and long-term community impact. Whether establishing a donor-advised fund, creating a legacy gift, supporting Jewish education, investing in community initiatives, or responding to emerging needs, donors benefit from a team that understands both the technical and personal dimensions of philanthropy.

The result is a fundholder experience grounded in trust, expertise, and partnership. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, DJCF works closely with individuals, families, and professional advisors to develop customized strategies that reflect each donor’s unique aspirations. The Foundation’s commitment to ongoing education and professional development ensures that its guidance remains informed by best practices and emerging trends in the philanthropic sector.

“Ultimately, DJCF’s commitment to professional development enhances its ability to serve as a trusted partner. By combining compassion with expertise, the Foundation helps ensure that charitable dollars are deployed effectively, strengthening Jewish life today while building a sustainable future for generations to come,” says Megan Hyman.

As the needs of the community continue to evolve, DJCF remains committed to providing the highest level of service, stewardship, and philanthropic leadership. Through our team of dedicated professionals and a culture of continuous learning, the Foundation is helping fundholders turn generosity into lasting impact—benefiting the Dallas Jewish community today and for generations to come.
